Fatma Mehraliyeva was born to a father named Yusif [Fatma Yusif qızı Mehrəliyeva]. She was born and brought up in a region in Azerbaijan called "Quba" in July 4, 1926. From her early childhood, the relatives, friends and neighbors were fascinated for her beautiful voice.
The great musician of Azerbaijan Üzeyir Hajıbay fell in love in her voice and said that her voice is great but she is a small girl ( səsi böyük, özü balaca olan ). The great composer, Mr. Hajıbay, enthusiastically, like her.
In 1940, Fatma Mehraliyeva was 14 years old. At this age, she got an opportunity to present herself as an Azerbaijani folk artist on the stages through her early performances in the songs of the Azeri-Mugham. Her successes on these early stages of her career was a guarantee for more success in the future.
For the first time, Fatma Mehraliyeva ,taught many young people how to become a teenage artist in Azerbaijan. Her success in performing of the song “Sister of Mercy” from the great composer of Azerbaijan "Uzeyir Hajibeyov" (Узеира Гаджибекова ) was a milestone in her achievement.
Hence, this wildly successful artist of Azerbaijan, Fatma Mehraliyeva, guaranteed her future merely by her wonderful talent. She became an artist [whose name people didn't recognize before] became known as one of the stars of the world of art in the future of her country.
In the Republic of Azerbaijan of the former Soviet Union, Fatma Mehraliyeva appreciated deeply to have an opportunity to play the role of Telli in the film "Arshyn Mal Alan" in 1945. This was a master piece from Uzeyir Hajibayov.
Kamil Shahverdi, writes, "In 1913, while studying in the St.Petersburg Conservatory, Hajibayov wrote a great operetta called «Arshin Mal Alan» (Libretto by Uzeyir Hajibayov), which became a masterpiece of world music." [1]

beautiful, fi rst Russian operetta». From St. Petersburg, Uzeyir sent his work to his friend and colleague, composer

The site of "AXTAR.AZ", reports that Fatma Mehraliyeva faced many difficulties in her early childhood. Her mother passed away as she was only 3-4 years old. Her aunt, Asmagül, whose house was in the village of Ispik, a village near Ouba region oin Azerbaijan, for specific periods of time took care of her.
One of the relatives of Mehraliyeva, Balashirin Hajimamdov, recalls, "Fatma Aliyeva's last visit to this home( Ispik in the Quba region) was in 1987."
Balashirin Mammadov talks about tensions during the late 1980s and early 1990s in Azerbaijan. Inconsequence of this turbulence and difficulties, Fatma Mehraliyeva's life was entrapped in undesirable destiny in her life. The fog of isolation surrounded her and she was forgotten.
As the conditions of life for people in the Soviet Union deteriorated in the 80s and the early 90s, the US didn't remain safe from the economic difficulties. On July 19, 2018, Mike Moffatt writes, "In the early 1980s, the American economy was suffering through a deep recession. Business bankruptcies rose sharply compared to previous years." [2]
Fatma Mehraliyeva in Turbulent Times: "When the politics in the Soviet Union and Eastern Europe were in its transition phase, Fatma Mehralyeva experienced the public dementia about herself and her arts. Her name was absent from mainstream. The forgetfulness in the people's minds allowed to forget this great talent of Arts. She disappeared from the minds first. Then from the stages of art.
It was not justice was done to this brilliant and great artist in the turbulent times of 1980- early 1992o as she was living and experiencing. Mehraliyeva's turbulent life doomed to this public dementia of people. Today, may azeri Artists know that during Turbulent Political Times should not the legendary treasures like Mehraliyeva to be forgotten.

Fatma Mehraliyev was a singer and an actress; a woman of many talents and her artworks were remarkably distinguished. Her workers were great in any sense of meaning. She was a folk hero in arts. She was the most prolific artist in cinema and music of Azerbaijan. She is remembered as a great performing artist as well as with creativity in creation of a great sense of enthusiasm in people.
Mehralieva worked with a purpose in her life. She knew that nothing great in the arts of Azerbaijan can ever be achieved without creation of enthusiasm in people in all cities and villages of Azerbaijan. Her slogan was based on the power of talent and enthusiasm for making the Azeri music great internally and externally.
For Mehraliyeva, having talent for artistic works was as a great asset to possess. From her childhood, Fatma Mehraliyeva showed her natural talent and enthusiasm for arts. This Azerbaijani artistic talent was her real profile talent agency in the public minds.
In 1996, Fatma Mehraliyeva was honored for her performance of Azeri folk songs and mugam. She starred as "Telli" in the film version of Uzeyir Hajibeyov's opera, "Arshin Mal Alan", in 1945. She is considered to be unequaled in performing the mugam, "Kesme Shekeste."
